Marubeni-Itochu Steel Europe GmbH (MISEA), headquartered in Germany, serves as the regional hub for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. We provide comprehensive global supply chain management services, supported by our branches and group companies located in the United Kingdom, Kenya, South Africa, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

In the UK, we operate a steel stockholding business under the name Barclay & Mathieson Steel Group, offering a wide range of products and solutions, including processing services and next-day delivery to our customers.

MISEA is a subsidiary of Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. (MISI), which was formed through the merger of the steel divisions of two of Japan’s largest general trading companies – ITOCHU Corporation and Marubeni Corporation. This merger created a global leader in the steel industry.

Since its establishment in 2001, MISEA has continued to grow. Our name reflects a lean, responsive, and flexible organization that brings together the strengths and expertise of our group companies. It also symbolizes our commitment to meeting your steel logistics and processing needs with passion and precision.

As part of this commitment, we have acquired a building materials processing and sales company in the United Kingdom to strengthen our local production-for-local-consumption approach, and invested in an Irish offshore wind anchor solutions provider, thereby securing access to the renewable energy sector. Through these initiatives, we will continue to take on challenges in both trade and investment, working to achieve sustainable growth in Europe and Africa.
